1954 Strat Style Single Coils
1954 style Strat style single coils. Made with vintage correct materials and vintage correct specs with several improvements including a RVRP middle pickup and an overwound bridge pickup for a more balanced tone. The tension of the copper wire on these pickups has been fine tuned to eliminate the need of wax potting. This helps retain the microphonic characteristics in a tamed way, without creating issues, giving the player more tonal range. My goal was to find a microphonic vintage tone that worked into todays environments with wireless signals running everywhere. Wax Potting is available if this is the players preference for no charge.
Feel free to request customizations within the specs mentioned, including custom outputs.
Output: Middle and Neck: 5.8-5.9; Bridge: 6.0-6.2
Vulcanized Fiber Bobbins
Alnico 3 Staggered Magnet Poles
Poles Insulated with Lacquer
Heavy Formvar 42 Gauge Copper Wire
Wax Potting Optional and FREE OF CHARGE
-Potting options include: Painting outer coil to leave insides untouched, Dipping for a very light potting, and vacuum potting for a complete seal of the coil, plus more.
