This is a hand-wound set of telecaster pickups that give you historical blackguard and vintage telecaster tones in one pickup set. All pickups are made with historically accurate materials and specs. SMWolk Guitars pickups are all hand-wound by Steven Wolk featuring his unique variation on winding methods that brings a new level of imperfect perfection for your needs.
The Bridge pickup in this set includes a coil tap feature which allows so many tones in one single pickup. The lower wind gives what can be best described as an “Almost Roy Buchanan Tones” emulating the lower end of the variable winds assoiciated with blackguard Telecasters. (The Full Buchanan tone requires a secondary mod). The Higher wind gives tones emulating Jimmy Page with Led Zeppelin and does so VERY well.
As with all pickups: Any and all mods are welcome free of charge (just ask) :)
